Books are a world that is full of contexts, messages and meanings, sometimes you can't see it the first time, and therefore the opportunity to buy literary analysis paper is unique, which will help to disassemble the book into molecules, each of which can be understood.

EXIT VISA
Marcus Clark

EXIT VISA
(MATURE ADULTS ONLY)

EXIT VISA is a factual novel about the aftermath of the Vietnam war, a vivid and gripping narrative, it chronicles the horrors experienced by those who fled after the fall of Saigon.

We have all seen movies about Vietnam, "We Were Soldiers" was the most recent. But have you ever noticed, none of them tell you what happened when the war ended? What happened to the population when the communists took over? Why did hundreds of thousands of people flee? What happened in Kampuchea that led to two million people dying?

EXIT VISA gives vivid descriptions of the last days of the Vietnam war; the murder of the Kampucheans during Year Zero; working on the Ho Chi Minh Trail; living in Saigon after the communists took over; the fleeing of the 'boat people' from Vietnam; the boat journey to Malaysia; resettlement in Australia. This is one of the few books published (in English) that describes these events through Vietnamese eyes.

SHEBA'S VOW is a novel about the struggle for democracy on a "South American" island. South Chale is ruled by a military dictatorship that has divided the country into four different racial groups, each strictly segregated.

Sheba is born into the most despised class of all, the mongrels, for the mongrels blur the differences between the races. After seeing her father persecuted by the State Security Police, Sheba vows to work for the overthrow of the dictatorship.

SHEBA'S VOW

is a blend of fact and fiction. South Chale, where the story takes place is largely an amalgam of Chile, Argentina, and South Africa of the 1980s. The neighbouring island of Suntos is a reflection of the Ukraine in the 1930s when Stalin created one of the most desperate famines every experienced, resulting in seven million people starving to death.

The final section is an epitome of the People Power events in the Phillippines, Tiananmen Square, and Moscow.

The novel is largely about a political and personal struggle to find a way out of the despair and violence of dictatorships, a reflection of world events during the period 1980--1995.

THE MYSTERY OF DARKSON HOUSE
by Marcus Clark

marcus clark's novel darkson house

THE MYSTERY OF DARKSON HOUSE

Girl's mystery novel for 8-15 year olds.

This children's story, while exploring a mystery, explains two different ways of thinking: logical and intuitive. The mystery, while initially about vampires, shows how rumors and word-of-mouth stories are exaggerated and distorted. The novel debunks vampires and jumping to conclusions.

It is about looking at facts clearly, and not accepting commonplace prejudice. But it also promotes the value of intuition: seeing with the mind's eye, feeling with the heart, and looking for that surprising flash of inspiration to provide answers. Intuition shows the way, logical thinking makes the road.

LIGHT ON THE PATH, Mable Collins.

This short book, first published in 1888, is one of the fundamental books of the Theosophical Society and some Western Yoga schools. This is one of the important occult books, which can be read over and over as your path circles the mountain. Each time you read it you will find new understanding in its words.

It has been published in many editions by the Theosophical Society for more than 100 years.

Although there are a number of on-line versions, this is to my knowledge, the only e-book version. I have kept the layout of the 1963 Adyar Version including the notes and the bold print, which are very important. Some on-line versions move the notes, causing them to lose importance.

THE PROPHET, Kahlil Gibran

I present this Ebook with great pleasure! It is one of the best known books on the philosophy of living written during the 20th century--many people would also say the most important.

A short book, that can be read in a few hours, but one that once read will call you back again and again, and each time you will learn more and more.

It is in the public domain in Australia, but perhaps if you live in some other country it may still be under copyright.

This version (in pdf, zipped) has the drawings by Kahlil Gibran, which came with the 1964 version.
Originally written in 1926. A great gift to the entire world. I for one, receive it with profound thanks.

INNER LIGHT OUTER WEALTH E-BOOK

I found this book to be one of the most helpful and useful I have read for quite a long time. It is mostly about your inner world, how you interpret life, how you react to events. It will not appeal to everyone because it is from the perspective of Eastern philosophy (i.e. India / China) rather than Middle-East religions.

It is not dogmatic, nor does it cut into traditional religions, rather it supplements them. Many of the ideas are from the 20th century---the important thing is whether they can help the reader or not.

I think most people will find a lot in here that will help them to interpret the world they live in. It is quite a short book, about 40 pages. You can also get a free ezine for further reading.    It is in pdf.

FREE E-BOOK: CRIME AND PUNISHMENT by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

After 'War and Peace', 'Crime and Punishment' is possibly the best known of the Russian novels of the late nineteenth century. It is certainly shorter, and in my view a far more interesting and engaging novel. I would put it in a list of the 30 "best" novels of the nineteenth century. Say no more.

Crime and Punishment is an extremely compelling story of an intellectual but criminal mind. The student Raskolnikov lives in poverty, pawning his few items of little value. He doesn't like his pawnbroker, feeling she is not an asset to society and begins to weigh up the value of each person's life. Who is worth the most to society? And if he believes this, then he should act on his beliefs. This novel explores psychology, philosophy, and murder.

FREE: LEAVES OF GRASS by Walt Whitman

First published in 1855, revised and added to a number of times, this book of poems was vilified at the time, described as "indecent", largely because Whitman wrote about some subjects that were taboo. One critic, hmmm his name has disappeared now, wanted to "horsewhip" Whitman for writing something as disgusting as this. These days it is regarded as an American Classic, unfortunately at the time Whitman lived in poverty and had to self-publish.

This is a Russian play from the 19th century, rather depressing, but very interesting. Chekov wrote about forests in this play a hundreds years before we even knew what "ecology" was. This play, is largely about interpersonal relationships.
